Pinoy Potheads

Sad to say, the state of the local potsmoking community is one which requires the potheads to bow their heads and hide from the eyes of the law.

That's why we don't have any underground publications like High Times, or personalities like Cheech and Chong. People who smoke pot are ostracized and labelled as addicts, on the same footing as those who indulge in meth or those who pop extasy like candy. But that is just not true.

It actually would take a lifetime campaign if we would want to see marijuana use legalized, or at least socially accepted, in Philippine society. The first step is education, as we really need to let other people know about the cannabis plant, and why it is God's gift to mankind.

Let this be the start of our campaign, so that the day would come when we will no longer be afraid to roll a joint and blaze it in the streets, without fear of anyone arresting us. Pinoy potheads unite! Not having enough weed for everybody should be our only fear.

And in the words of Saint Robert Nesta Marley: Keep it up.
